Service development and improvement
Alcohol and other drug treatment service providers are responsible for providing a safe, accessible and professional service and for treating clients with dignity, respect and courtesy.
The Victorian alcohol and drug treatment principles and the Victorian alcohol and other drug client charter create a foundation for a robust service system and outline the Department of Health & Human Services’ expectations of state-funded alcohol and other drug treatment providers. Funded alcohol and other drug treatment services in Victoria must also meet the requirements of any relevant accreditations and standards, and comply with any relevant service standard guidelines released by the Victorian Government.
Community Services Quality Governance Framework

It is designed for use across all community services delivered, funded and regulated by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
