Postcode - locality reference file

The Postcode – locality reference file lists valid postcode locality combinations for reporting to the department’s acute data collections, including VAED, VEMD, ESIS, VINAH and VPDC.

The Department of Health is only permitted to share this reference file with Victorian health services for non-commercial use, for the purpose of reporting and submitting data to relevant acute data collections.

To request a copy of the Postcode-locality reference file, Victorian health services should email the HDSS helpdesk: hdss.helpdesk@health.vic.gov.au.

VAED ICD-10-AM/ACHI library file

The ICD-10-AM/ACHI library file includes all ICD-10-AM 12th edition diagnosis, morphology, and ACHI procedure codes, together with appropriate validations, mappings, and code descriptions.

The Victorian library file is a modification of the National ICD-10-AM/ACHI ASCII files.

The licensing agreement only permits the Department of Health to release the library file to Victorian hospitals and software suppliers working with Victorian hospitals for the purpose of submitting data to the Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED).

It is available by application to the HDSS helpdesk via email to hdss.helpdesk@health.vic.gov.au.

VEMD editing matrix

The VEMD editing matrix is available to Victorian hospitals and software suppliers working with Victorian hospitals for the purpose of submitting data to the VEMD.

Please email the HDSS helpdesk via hdss.helpdesk@health.vic.gov.au for a copy of the editing matrix.
