Public register - cooling tower systems and auditors

Public register - cooling tower systems

Section 89 of the Public Health & Wellbeing Act 2008 requires the Department of Health and Human Services (the department) to keep a register of all cooling tower systems and be available for inspection by the public.

The public register allows a person to search for the location of each registered cooling tower system in Victoria. You will need to enter a suburb and street name to perform the search.

The following details are published on the register:

  • Site identification number (Site ID)
  • Address of the cooling tower
  • Cooling tower system identification number (CTS ID)
  • The expiry date of the cooling tower registration

Public register - approved auditors

Section 95 of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2005 states that only an approved auditor can conduct a risk management plan audit. Approved auditors are certified by the department.

The department maintains a list of approved auditors that you can contact to have your cooling tower system risk management plan audited.

You can either view a list of all auditors in region, or you can search for a specific auditor by surname.
